WHAT IS THE LAKE GEORGE SCHOLARSHIP ASSOCIATION?

The Lake George Scholarship Association was founded in 1952 by a volunteer group of local citizens and is managed by a Board of Directors. Its purpose is to raise funds to provide for local scholarships.  Since 1953, over 400 scholarships have been awarded, worth over one quarter million dollars. In 1989 LGSA became an affiliate of the Citizen’s Scholarship Foundation of America, a national non-profit organization, in order to maximize the money available to Lake George graduates through matching grants from colleges, businesses and foundations.
